Dynaudio

About this resource

Dynaudio’s loudspeaker business spans four distinct applications: home audio, professional audio, car audio and custom installation. Its official Confidence 20A documentation identifies Skanderborg, Denmark, as the headquarters where that model’s cabinets and speakers are made, finished and assembled. Home and professional designs are related areas of engineering, but they are presented as separate catalogue sections. ^{[1] [2]}

The Confidence 20A provides a specific example of that relationship. It uses DSP tools related to the Core professional-monitor range, with individual amplifiers for the tweeter and mid/bass driver located inside the stands. The Esotar 3 soft-dome tweeter includes a Hexis inner dome, while the NeoTec woofer uses Dynaudio’s Magnesium Silicate Polymer cone material. ^[2]

Balanced analogue and AES3 digital inputs distinguish the Confidence 20A from a self-contained consumer streaming speaker. Its controls include sound-balance filters and wall, corner and free-position settings, and the source still needs volume control. The live homepage also highlights Confidence i, Evidence Platinum Collector’s Edition and Opus One. Comparing the home, professional and installation sections first helps separate conventional passive speakers, active systems and products designed for integrated installations. ^{[2] [1]}
