About this resource

DALI stands for Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries. Founded in 1983 by Peter Lyngdorf, the company established its Nørager factory in 1986 and describes that site as the centre of its development and operations. Its historical account connects the business to Hi-Fi Klubben and an ambition to offer hi-fi loudspeakers across a range of sizes and prices. [2]

Its published sound-design principles include amplifier optimisation, low loss, low-resonance cabinets, time coherence and wide dispersion. The company presents these as principles for balancing driver, enclosure and room behaviour across the listening area. The portfolio covers floorstanding, bookshelf, centre and surround speakers alongside wall- and ceiling-mounted products, subwoofers, wireless systems and portable audio. [2]

The live homepage provides several different starting points: KORE and EPIKORE for larger high-end designs, RUBIKORE and OPTICON MK2 for component systems, and MENUET or KUPID for compact speakers. RUBICON C is presented as a wireless active system, while VEGA is a single-box home-audio system. ALTECO adds another home-cinema role through a height module. These distinctions are more useful than assuming every DALI product needs the same electronics or installation. [1]
