RealTraps
Connecticut acoustic-treatment manufacturer supplying membrane bass traps, absorbers, diffusers and related room products. Its site pairs hardware with placement guidance and acoustics education, and explicitly distinguishes improving sound inside a room from soundproofing against noise entering or leaving it.
About this resource
RealTraps makes physical acoustic treatment for recording studios, hi-fi rooms, home theaters and other spaces. Its homepage states that products are built in its Connecticut factory using American-made parts. The role is room treatment rather than loudspeaker or electronics manufacturing, with bass traps, broadband absorbers and diffusers presented as different tools for addressing room behavior. [1]
The product overview describes membrane bass traps that also absorb middle and high frequencies. MiniTraps, MondoTraps and MegaTraps sit alongside MicroTraps, RFZ panels, diffusers and portable gobos. Standard and high-frequency versions have different absorption priorities, while stands and mounting options provide alternatives to permanent installation. This makes the product page useful for distinguishing low-frequency work from reflection control and mobile recording treatment. [2]
The homepage explicitly says the products are intended to improve sound inside a room, not stop transmission between rooms or block outside noise. Educational entry points include separate acoustic-basics sections for recording and domestic listening, room kits, placement guidance and videos. Purchase advice is described as free, while substantial consulting has separate deposit terms. Older awards and news items remain on the page, so they are not used here to imply current staffing, customer scale or recent product launches. [1]
