Audia Flight
Italian audio manufacturer whose amplifiers centre on a proprietary current-feedback gain architecture. Its catalogue spans FL Three S, FLS, Strumento and Strumento Signature families, with digital playback products complementing integrated amplifiers and separate pre/power systems.
About this resource
Audia Flight was founded in 1996 following research by Massimiliano Marzi and Andrea Nardini. Its history traces development through the Flight 100 power amplifier in 1997, subsequent preamplifiers and power amplifiers, and the Flight One integrated amplifier in 2001. Based in Civitavecchia, the company states that its home-audio components are designed and manufactured entirely in Italy at its own facility. [1] [2]
The technical thread is current feedback rather than a conventional voltage-feedback gain stage. Its technology page describes a unity-gain buffer, a low-impedance feedback input and a transimpedance stage that converts a current difference into voltage. The stated aim is wide bandwidth and rapid response, with the company’s gain-bandwidth explanation comparing how bandwidth behaves as gain changes. [3]
The FL Three S family provides an entry into the catalogue, with FLS above it and Strumento and Strumento Signature occupying the flagship positions. The homepage also announces the FLS22 streamer DAC. For a technical starting point, the technology material explains both the amplifier architecture and an FLS20 disc-drive damping arrangement using a suspended metal mass and Sorbothane pads. [1] [3]
